All winter I’ve been looking for some cute insulated footwear for my 18 month old son. Something that would go on and off easily and be easy for him to walk in. Also I wanted it to be functional for a lot of different activities, sledding, riding in the stroller or running errands around town.

We recently got some that I’m very happy with. They fit all the criteria! They’re called Stonz booties.

I didn’t realize until I loaded this picture onto this post that my daughter is dumping snow out of her shoe in the background of this pic! Her poor little piggies. Meanwhile her little brother is comfy and dry in his Stonz booties…Gah! I guess this is a great visual for you all.

Prior to getting these Stonz booties I got some snow boots from a yard sale for $1. I thought I had scored big but once I got them home and put them on him I realized it took forever to just get them on his foot and once on he wasn’t walking anywhere. He couldn’t bend at the ankle, they were like a cast on his leg.

I got his Stonz booties a little big so he could have them longer. Right now they’re big enough to  fit over his regular shoes when he’s playing in the snow and when we go around town I just slip them over his socks and cinch down the toggles. They’re like little sleeping bags for his feet.  They have a grippy bottom, soft fleece lining and are machine washable. I’m very happy with them. I only wish I would have found them sooner, all of my kids could have used these.
