Polarmax Review And Giveaway

Okay people myth buster time. Cotton Kills, true or false?

We’ve been told time and time again to stay away from cotton when it comes to recreating in the outdoors. I have warned you of that several times here at Nature For Kids. It doesn’t keep you as warm and once it’s wet it stays wet. And that makes outdoor experience uncomfortable for kids and parents alike.

Well at the outdoor retail show I met with Polarmax, the makers of all things layering for kids and adults. They have created a cotton fabric that puts this myth to rest. How? Well they treat the cotton so that it wicks moisture away from your body, so that it can evaporate and dry super fast. They call it TransDRY technology.

Ole tried out this layering item while Doober tried out a youth item by Polarmax, the quatro fleece (one of their warmest items). It’s a long sleeve micro-fibre with a raised zippered neck. He got pants as well, they have a comfy waistband. Both are fitted and have some stretch.

They took Polarmax out for a test drive. Here’s their short review.

Here are the simple key features of all Polarmax items:

  • Stink Proof - they have a fancy word for it (scent prevent anit-microbial)
  • Moisture Wicking
  • Quick Drying
  • Breathable
  • Comfortable flat seams, no itchy tags either.

Polarmax wants us to share the love here at Nature For Kids so together we’re giving away a youth technical base layer. It’s a heavy weight quattro fleece with a crew neck. It’s a size small (6 to 8 years). So if you know a little person who loves playing outside…

This giveaway ends Tuesday April 12th. U.S. residents only please. The winner will be chosen using Randomizer.org.
