Our oldest son recently turned 10 and my husband and I have been shaking our heads at how fast the time has gone. He’s been our little ally in our outdoor adventures from the very beginning.
I can’t help but wonder what the third picture in this series will look like 10 years from now. Where will he be? What knowledge and values will he seek after?
Parenting is a humbling business. I’m far from knowing what it’s all about. But what I do know is this: we’ve never regretted the decision we made when our son came into our lives, that we would keep exploring the natural world and expose him to all it has to offer. I really think he’s come to love and identify with nature as we have. And that’s the first step in taking care of it.
What’s one thing you never regret doing with your children?

birthday, nature for kids, outside, parenthood, parenting, outdoor adventures, nature

I will never regret trying to help them use their imagination to explore, and see and feel the beauty around them. Always to let them know they were loved more than things and that they had tremendous potential. I love my children and the adults that they now are.
Linda that’s beautiful and I’ve seen first hand the benefits! Love you!
