Have you seen this yet? Hookease is a new teaching tool out there for skiers. It’s been seen a lot on the slopes at Snowbasin here in Utah lately and was created by a dad who knew there had to be an easier way.
Hookease connects the instructor’s ski poles to the back of the learner’s skis. It allows the instructor to guide the students with their poles, showing them proper skiing technique. The hook can come off easily for getting on and off the ski lift.
Scott Coleman is the brains behind this helpful device. He grew up on skis himself and is from my neck of the woods here in Utah. Four years ago he was on the mountain teaching his two-year old son Jaxson how to ski. Experiencing the typical frustrations and struggles, Scott was inspired by his kids to invent a better way to teach the true fundamentals of skiing while creating a wonderful experience for both himself and his kids.

The Hookease retails for $59.99. I haven’t tried it yet but If it lessens the frustration aspect like it says it does that sounds fair to me! Moms and Dads don’t need to be pulling their hair out when it comes to recreation, we have plenty of other things to supply frustration.
What do you think about Hookease? Would you be willing to give it a try with your little one?

Sounds like a great idea…..might even work in the mall if you had a way to attach it to the kids ;}
We saw this at the SIA show and I agree, it looks awesome!
