This is a 160 acre park in Lee county. I love this place. The Ranger there, Ranger Steve, works very hard to keep a balance of well maintained but not overly developed areas. There is also a Nature Center where you can view indigenous wildlife. All of these animals either bred in captivity or rehabilitated after injuries or illnesses and unable to survive on their own in the wild (something I think should be pointed out, since I wouldn't want to encourage the collection of wild animals). I know several bike clubs come to this park just for the bike trails, of which there are five miles, as well as four miles for hiking. There are also two 10-acre lakes where you can fish, boat, or hike around, and a nice little play ground where the kids can wind down after a day of romping through the woods. If anyone is in the area, I highly recomend a day trip to this park. There are two campsites, which are perfect for nervous parents who want to do a test run with the kids before a bigger camping trip.
