We went camping to the Price Recreation Area this last weekend. We wanted to go to Lake Powell but gas prices are a major factor in our recreation planning now. Overall I was really impressed with our local recreation area. The campsite (I would recommend #9) had plenty of space between the other campers and was surrounded by lots of trees. For our small family it was perfect. The sites have picnic tables, fire rings with a metal grate to cook ontop of and outhouses close by. From our campsite a small trail lead to an overlook and then continued on to the main hike provided to the top of the ridge that overlooks the canyon. Our kids had a blast and I felt like they were safe to explore beyond our campsite. Dogs are welcome but must be kept under control. It's also centered within two outstanding bouldering areas. I would highly reccomend it! The only drawback is that we woke to the sound of a RV campers generator chugging away.
